Wallet with $1,400, credit cards and more returned to owner with nothing missing | News

A man called the police at about 9:30 a.m. Feb. 11 after he realized someone had taken his wallet that he had dropped at Tim Hortons, 10005 Warren, Dearborn.

The man had been in the store earlier in the morning when he dropped his wallet. When he returned, it was gone.

The store manager watched the tape and saw a young man pick up the wallet and put it in his pocket.

In addition to about $1,400 in cash, there was an ID, credit cards and a concealed carry pistol license.

During a follow-up interview, the man told police that the wallet had been returned to him, with all of its contents, a few hours after he made the police report.
